Von 1937 bis 1942 wurde der bulgarische Fußballpokal unter der Bezeichnung „Zaren-Pokal“ ausgetragen, seit 1980 wird er als bulgarischer Fußballpokal ausgetragen. In der Zwischenzeit existierte nur der Pokal der Sowjetarmee.
Rekordsieger des bulgarischen Fußballpokals ist Lewski Sofia vor ZSKA Sofia und Litex Lowetsch.
